Letitia Wright on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever put on an accident

The road to black Panther: Wakanda Forever was certainly not easy. Besides the unexpected death of Chadwick Boseman, production on the Black Panther The sequel actually had to shut down for several months due to Letitia Wright’s on-set injury. While speaking with Variety, Letitia Wright talked about the “traumatic» accident she suffered the Black Panther Position.

The accident in question occurred when Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was filming in Boston. Producer Nate Moore said Letitia Wright was filming a chase sequence on a motorcycle placed on a cookie rig when the rig “cut a median and sheared the bike, and it fell,” leaving the actress with a fractured shoulder, concussion and other injuries. “I’m still processing it,said Wright. “I’m still working there in therapy. It was really traumatic.“As the accident happened during the filming of the second unit, director Ryan Coogler was not on set at the time and had to be informed by telephone. “It was about how you can imagine, said Coogler. “I mean, I love these actors. It’s me and Chad’s little sister. Imagine getting that call saying your little sister is hurt. It’s the worst fucking thing in the world.

When Ryan Coogler and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige visited Letitia Wright in the hospital after the accident, she was ready to get back to work, but it soon became apparent that she would need more time to recover. When production finally resumed in January 2022, Wright was still struggling with post-concussion syndrome, but said she had “great, great, great medical support, great patience on set. I’m just extremely proud of myself. I am extremely proud of Ryan, of the team, just for his resilience – overcoming adversity every step of the way. When I finished filming, I cried like a little baby.
